Some food materials take more calories to digest than the actual calorie content of these foods. Such foods can cause a negative calorie effect in or body. The extra energy to break down these foods is taken from the stored fat in our body. This burning of fat can cause weight loss. If a fruit that contains 60 calorie may require 90 calories to digest it. Thus an amount of 30 calories is burnt from the stored fat of the body.
Fruits and vegetables are the main things used to create this effect. Apples, broccoli, celery, cranberries, cucumber, garlic, carrots, turnip, water melon etc can be added in this type of diet. These can be very nutritious and negative calorific too. This diet must be accompanied with some mild exercises also for effective fat reduction.
