Myths about Weight loss and Exercise
We hear many rumors about how low fat diet decreases weight fast and how fat increases when we stop doing exercise. These are but some myths related to weight loss. The facts are all together different. Let’s have a look on what exactly happens if we stop exercise and why the low fat diet is not appropriate.
When we stop doing exercise, muscle shrinks and thus lowers metabolic activity. It further makes weight loss more difficult. People often take large quantity of food. Depressed muscles decreases metabolism, which in turn decreases the digestion. This food converts into fat that gets stored in the body.
Fat is stored in all possible places in the human body. You cannot remove fat only from certain part of your body by doing specific exercise. People believe that sit-ups reduce fat in the stomach, which actually does not.
People starve or avoid food to decrease weight at the fast rate. One should not replace their whole meals to lose weight. They should follow nutritional diet by consulting doctor.
One should follow healthy diet, regular exercises depending on their health conditions according to the doctor prescription.
